Isla Mujeres or Cancún? Choose your kind of holiday.
A beautiful beach is only one part of choosing a destination. Think about how you want each day to feel: an easy breakfast in your own space, a resort afternoon, a ferry crossing or an evening exploring. Start with your priorities and let the destination follow.

Start with the days you want
Write down three things that would make this holiday yours. Perhaps it is beach time without a packed schedule, meals you can prepare yourself, or a choice of organised activities. If you are travelling with friends, compare those lists before choosing accommodation.
Consider your arrival as part of the trip
An island stay needs a little coordination. For Isla Mujeres, plan a road transfer from Cancún airport to a passenger ferry, then your journey from the island terminal to your accommodation. Check the operator’s current departures and leave room for travel delays. Our arrival guide explains the route to Casa Milo.
Choose the setting that fits your plans
Cancún offers a Hotel Zone and a city centre; Isla Mujeres offers an island setting. If mainland outings are central to your trip, map those journeys before committing. If you would rather settle on the island for several nights, give yourself time for unhurried days instead of fitting everything around a return ferry.
Compare the whole stay
Look beyond the advertised nightly price. Compare the same dates and group size, then add transport, meals, cleaning, taxes and activities. Check what is actually private, what is shared and whether you need stairs. A kitchen may suit your rhythm, but only if you want to use it.
Picture your island base
At Casa Milo, Sirenas Studio suits one or two guests with a ground-floor layout and private kitchenette. Casa Milo has two bedrooms and two bathrooms for up to six, upstairs with stairs required. Both are in Colonia Electricistas. Choose them for the apartment and neighbourhood setting, then plan your beach trips separately.
These are suggested plans. Check current access, operating hours, transport and conditions before heading out.
