Vacation rental or hotel in Isla Mujeres? Choose the stay that fits your trip
A kitchen, a breakfast service, two bedrooms or a particular location may matter more than the accommodation label. Compare the places you are actually considering, using the same dates and guest count. This guide helps you choose fairly between a vacation rental and a hotel, and shows where Casa Milo and Sirenas Studio fit.

Start with the space your group will use
Compare the actual layout, beds and bathrooms, not just the maximum guest number. Casa Milo offers two bedrooms and two bathrooms for one to six guests. Sirenas Studio is a studio for one or two with a queen bed and private bathroom. Hotel rooms and connecting-room arrangements vary, so ask for the exact configuration.
Decide how you want meals to work
A kitchen can be useful if you want to make breakfast or prepare simple meals, but it is only a benefit if you will use it. Casa Milo has a private kitchen; Sirenas has a private kitchenette. With a hotel, check whether breakfast or other meals are included, and what the rate actually covers.
Compare the service you expect
Ask each property about reception hours, cleaning, linen changes, luggage storage and help during the stay. Do not assume these services are included or available around the clock. At Casa Milo, José is the on-property caretaker and lives in a separate apartment; arrange any specific assistance with Rocky before arrival.
Put the address ahead of the label
Neither “hotel” nor “vacation rental” tells you how far you are from the places you want to visit. Casa Milo and Sirenas are in Colonia Electricistas on Calle 16 de Septiembre, opposite El Varadero. Check our registered map listing and plan local transport. A beach visit is a separate outing, not an included beachfront setting.
Compare the full quote for the same trip
Use identical dates and guest counts. Check the final total, currency, cleaning charges, taxes, any pet fee, payment schedule and cancellation terms. Add realistic transport and meal plans to your own budget. Compare the complete quote, since prices, inclusions and conditions can differ between booking channels.
Match access, family and pet needs
Casa Milo is upstairs and requires stairs. Sirenas is on the ground floor and shares the garden. Children and infants are welcome in both, but neither apartment is adapted for babies. Casa Milo accepts pets with the applicable charge; Sirenas does not. Confirm your particular needs before choosing a rate.
Choose according to how you want to stay
An apartment may fit if you value private space and the option to prepare your own meals. A hotel may fit if you prefer the specific services included in its offer. Read what each place actually provides. For our apartments, compare the photos and 3D floor plans, then ask Rocky about anything that could affect your stay.
