Your Isla Mujeres packing list: beach days, ferry rides and apartment living
Pack for the trip you will actually take: a flight, a road transfer, a passenger ferry and the final journey to your apartment. This checklist keeps the essentials together without assuming that every holiday needs the same suitcase. Confirm what your airline, ferry operator, accommodation and booked activities provide before buying extras.

Keep your arrival essentials within reach
Use a small bag you can keep with you during transfers. Keep official tickets accessible in the format the operator accepts; do not rely only on a screenshot. Check the airline and ferry baggage rules separately.
- Required travel documents, booking confirmations and the apartment address.
- Phone, charger, payment cards and a little cash for your arrival needs.
- Personal essentials and a spare light outfit in case your main bag is delayed.
Choose clothes for repeated, comfortable days
Build a small set of outfits you can combine. Do not assume an apartment has a washing machine or laundry service; ask before planning to wash clothes during your stay.
- Light clothing, swimwear and a change for the journey home.
- Comfortable walking shoes and footwear suited to the beach.
- A light layer and rain protection that fit in your day bag.
Prepare a simple beach bag
Choose items you will actually carry, and check what any beach club or tour includes. For water activities, follow the provider’s instructions and confirm equipment sizes and restrictions before you travel.
- Hat, sunglasses, sun protection and a refillable water bottle.
- A bag to separate wet swimwear and protect belongings from splashes.
- Beach towel only after checking whether your accommodation supplies one for beach use.
Pack for the apartment you booked
Sirenas Studio has a private kitchenette; Casa Milo has a private kitchen. Ask about the equipment you need for your usual meals instead of bringing kitchen tools by default. Check drinking-water arrangements and supplies before deciding what to buy on arrival.
- Your own toiletries and any preferred personal items.
- Chargers and any adapter your devices require, after checking compatibility.
- A small shopping bag and a short breakfast or snack list.
Check children’s and access needs before departure
Children and infants are welcome in both apartments, but neither is adapted for babies. Discuss your needs before booking and confirm any equipment directly; do not assume a cot or high chair is available. Casa Milo is upstairs with stairs required. Sirenas is on the ground floor.
Travelling with a pet? Choose Casa Milo
Casa Milo accepts pets with the applicable pet charge; Sirenas Studio does not accept pets. Tell Rocky before arrival, and check your transport operator’s current pet rules. Bring your pet’s usual supplies and the documents required for your particular journey.
Leave room for the island
Skip equipment already included in a confirmed activity and avoid packing for every possible scenario. Before closing the bag, check the forecast and official local notices. Keep your transport details easy to find, then leave a little space for whatever you discover along the way.
Check current transport, access and activity details before travelling. Confirm apartment equipment and any individual requirements directly with Rocky.
