02 · Plan your trip

Five days in Isla Mujeres, with room to slow down.

A Casa Milo travel guide ·

This flexible five-day plan is designed as four nights on the island: arrival on day one and departure on day five. It leaves time to settle in, explore and change your mind. Add nights if you want five full days, or if your flight and ferry connections need more breathing room.

Day 1 · Arrive and settle in

Keep the first afternoon light. Arrange your airport transfer and ferry, reach your accommodation and unpack before making extra plans. At Casa Milo and Sirenas, check-in starts at 2 p.m. Pick up what you need for breakfast, choose an easy dinner and enjoy the feeling of having arrived.

Day 2 · Beach time and downtown

Make Playa Norte and a walk around downtown your main plan. Bring what you need for shade, water and a comfortable day, and check local swimming guidance. Decide in advance whether you want a simple beach visit or a beach club with its own charges. Our beach guide helps you plan the details.

Day 3 · A southern island outing

Set aside a morning for Punta Sur and its sculpture park. Check access and opening information before leaving, and arrange the return journey as carefully as the outward trip. Keep the afternoon open for lunch, a rest or another short outing. You do not need to fill every hour.

Day 4 · Your choice, with a weather backup

Choose one activity that matters to your group: more beach time, a guided water activity or a slower day of meals and wandering. For a tour, confirm the provider, inclusions and conditions directly. Keep a land-based alternative in case the sea changes your plans; a relaxed day can still be a good holiday day.

Day 5 · A calm departure

Have breakfast, check the apartment and allow time to reach the ferry. Check-out is by noon at both apartments. Work backwards from your flight using confirmed transport arrangements, rather than treating a ferry crossing time as the whole journey. Ask Rocky beforehand about any special arrival or departure needs.

Make the plan fit your stay

Choose accommodation for the people actually travelling. Sirenas has space for one or two; Casa Milo welcomes up to six in two bedrooms. A five-day trip is not the same as five nights, so enter the actual arrival and departure dates when comparing prices and any direct-booking offer.

These are suggested plans. Check current access, operating hours, transport and conditions before heading out.
